The House - some history
Originally a farm, the stone built house was built in 1906 and was originally a typical 2 up 2 down cottage with an enormous attached barn and a large detached bread-oven. Between 1950 and 1970 it subsequently had another barn added and a full length hanger along the rear of the house and the two barns.
In 2010 the house was renovated and doubled in size by extending into the attached barn.
All plumbing and wiring was renewed, new ceilings and partitions erected throughout the property and new chestnut flooring fitted throughout the ground floor. All first floor rooms have new thermostatically controlled electric panel wall heaters with 24 hr. timers. The new chestnut flooring throughout the ground floor has been varnished and first floor is newly carpeted.
The whole house has just been decorated throughout in white emulsion as 'a builders' finish' ready for new owners to make their own mark on the property.
L'Esperance is perfect for people who enjoy their own company and that of their friends and family. It is the most tranquil place that you can imagine. It is a wonderful area for walking, cycling, fishing, bird spotting etc. The house is in a very rural location.
